Whirlpool 3406105 Door Switch

Switch fixed the problem
This switch was remarkably easy to install; it took longer to open up the dryer than it did to put the switch in, and I'm far from mechanically inclined.

perfect
It's a simple and easy product to replace. Save yourself the professional sized bill, and give it a few days to arrive. The price difference between purchasing here vs a appliance repair shop is worth the short wait. Product works great and the actuator lever is just as strong as the original but more pliable so less likely to break again.

No problems!
The door switch came before I expected and was very inexpensive! Exactly the part that was needed for my dryer and my husband was able to fix it the same day! I would purchase from here again if needed!

Marshall Fridge

Product appeared used
The product arrived with several dents and the door hinge was bent and damaged. The inside appeared used; the tapes that hold the trays in place during shipping were not secure. I got the impression that someone else may have returned the product and that it had been repackaged and then sent to me. I am in the process of returning the item and receiving a replacement. We will see how this goes.

Got the new product, all is well.

The amp that keeps your beers cold!
My husband LOVES his new fridge. His friend/drummer saw it and asked, "Nice, but what did you need another amp for?" My husband's response? "To keep the beers cold!" He opened it up and pulled out a cold beer. Everyone was surprised, amazed and jealous!!!!

But, this goes to 11
That's right folks, this ultimate beer fridge does indeed go to eleven. It looks just like a real Marshall amplifier.

Sunbeam 2591 350-Watt MixMaster, Black

Great for the price!
This mixer is great for the price, and for the average baker. If you want something inexpensive, but you are a heavy duty baker, don't be cheap! You need to pay for what you need to serve your purpose. There are no accessories available for this mixer, but it serves it's purpose even if you bake often. Contrary to one reviewer's comments, Walmart sells a different model Sunbeam stand mixer with bread hooks. Buyers should be mindful of the fact that these mixers have various model numbers, yet have the same physical design. Investigate what you want to buy first, and make informed decisions. Kitchen Aids are great, but who needs a $200-minimum priced mixer for average baking and other purposes. There are also other Sunbeam models that offer additional accessories that bakers use. This mixer works well for a multitude of purposes. If you need heavy duty, then investigate other Sunbeam models or by yourself a Kitchen Aid.

Great Mixer if you don't want to spend big bucks
I bought a mixer to make cookies. Sick Cookies, that is. Anyway, using a mixer once a year didn't warrant my $200, so I spent $65 at target on a sunbeam with a 350-watt moter and 4 quart bowl. Made 9 batches of cookies tonight and it worked great!

Easy to clean and work with.

Took it Back!
The lowest speed does not allow for a smooth start and is entirely too fast. Because the beaters sit high in the bowl I had a hard time just creaming eggs, sugar and butter. Detaching the beaters to use without the stand was not easy. In manufacturing they used some type of machine oil that exudes an obnoxious odor. After one week the odor was just as strong and permeated my entire kitchen. In comparison to the 'old style' Hamilton Beach mixers, the new stand mixers all have a lot to be desired. Maybe the new Cuisinart stand mixer is the way to go?

Pro-team Intercept Micro Filters Vacuum Bags - Per 10 - 496 Sq.in Media

Good Price and Good Product
They work and they're fairly-priced and it's easier than going to the store to buy them. What more do you want?

Pro team is awesome
Pro-team products have been pretty amazing for a long time. I made money by working as a janitor in college and we used all forms of the backpack style vacuum cleaners. I bought my own when I got my first job out of college in 1998. It is still going strong, and have now purchased a tailvac for my wife to zip around the house and touch up high traffic areas. Great filtration on the bags, no vacuum cleaner dust smell when you fire up the tailvac.

Vacuum bags.
Very nice bags. They looked great. And they would have worked fine but i had ordered the wrong size. Amazon was very good about refunding my money and I will order the next size up.

Frost King CC30XH 34x30 Round Central Air Conditioner Cover (Heavy Duty Reinforced Polyethylene)

Does what it needs to do
This AC cover is fine for what I needed. It is a little larger than my AC unit, but a little rope around the cover keeps it in place in the winter winds. Nothing fancy, no zippers or velcro, just a cylendrical plastic cover. It's a better alternative to the cut and duct taped plastic garbage bag I used in prior years. We'll see if it lasts more than one winter.

Winterizing
I am pleased with the Frost King AC cover that I purchased online.
My AC compressor is 24x24 square. I could not find that size so I
went with the 34" round and it fits nicely.

Indoor Air Conditioner Cover -Plastic-

Quality
I chose this item because it looked like it was exactly what I wanted, but the elastic is not as good as it was advertised and I think it the item was over priced for what I received. Am using it but am disappointed. Thank you.

Great Reusable Air Conditioner Cover
Fits a standard air conditioner perfectly. Highly recommend for air conditioners while not in use. It will definitely keep mines clean during the cold months.

Pretty simple
My A/C unit is a monster so I wasn't enthused about removing and reinstalling it for the winter here in Michigan. I put this cover on the inside of A/C unit, behind the curtains. Then I put a heavier canvas cover over the outside of the unit. This seems to have stopped the cold air leaks pretty well though not perfect.

In any case, it should be ready immediately when the warm weather hits.

Nostalgia Electrics MSB64 64-Ounce Margarita and Slush Maker

great, but not for everyday use
I got this as a Christmas present (only in green)and used it almost daily for making ice coffee and smoothies. It shreds the ice just right with no problems. The spout is a great idea because you leave it going while you fill up your cup so nothing has a chance to settle and you get the perfect consistency. But here it is August and parts are breaking :( The plastic teeth on the top of the base that spin the grinder have broken. I was able to super glue enough of it back on so it will still work for now. The spout leaks lately even when you have it as closed as possible. It is also hard to clean if you make a smoothie with berries. I had to take a screw driver to unscrew the grinder so I could clean below the grinder.
Bottom line is that plastic breaks and leaks. Why don't they do a testing on how easy it is to clean? I would recomend this if you want to make ice coffee or other drinks without seeds occassionaly, but I am looking to upgrade to something more durable and easy to...

Works Well, but NO Owners Manual
I bought this as a gift for my Wife... actually, I gave her the promise of making frozen drinks such as Rum Runners and Orange Julius knock-offs. So I actually get to operate the machine and she benefits from my love of gadgetry!

I think it works better if you CRUSH THE ICE BEFORE ADDING LIQUID. This is my opinion, but since it did NOT come with an Owners Manual, I'm not sure if this is correct (as the Engineer that designed it).

Long story short, IT WORKS, QUICKLY!

(OK so it's loud... but after the second glass, you can't tell anyway.)

P.S. If anyone from Nostalgia Electrics reads this, please make the Owners Manual available to download on your website. Thank you!!!

The Perfect Party Drink Maker and Dispenser
I love that this drink maker doubles as a server. You can "freshen up" the drink before you pour it to make sure you're not getting the melted part. Mine DID come with an owner's manual and I found it very easy to use. The drink dispenser flows FREELY when switched to open, so you have a small learning curve to avoid over flowing smaller glasses. I would definitely recommend to others! I might order a second one so we can have Coladas and Margaritas side by side at the next big event.

Coffee Maker - Drip with Pot, White Porcelain 19oz.

Nice and the price is right.
I like it a lot and it's very inexpensive compared to other porcelain sets I have seen(I have seen porcelain filter holders costing more than this whole set!). I bought Melitta no.1 filters and they work okay but overflow a little too easy for me, and they require more attention since you have to keep filling it over time to prevent overflow. I might try some no.2 cone filters, I have a feeling they might be the best fit. UPDATE: I did get some Melitta no.2 filters and they are the perfect fit, and that's what I will get in the future. Before I bought the no.2s, I used some Melitta no.4 cone filters and they work fine and prevent overflow but they do extend way above the rim. I don't recommend buying no.4s, but if you already have some you can use them to see how you like it before buying no.2s. Some people might perfer the no.4s if they don't aim very well. ;)

Just be aware it is a small coffee maker and that the coffee doesn't stay hot too long in it. I find myself...

Love it!
I am so happy with this little drip coffee maker and it worked perfectly. I bought the #2 coffee filters as the other reviewer recommended and they worked out just right.

I can only drink decaf which my husband does not like so this little coffee maker is perfect for me...also the 2 cups of coffee is all I need.

I fill the little pot with water then pour that into my water kettle so that I never have to worry about over-filling. Once my coffee is brewed I put it on a cup warmer to prevent it from getting cold.

For the price you cannot beat this little drip coffee maker. It was just what I was looking for.

Simple and easy alternative
A simple alternative to electric, plastic, run-of-the-mill coffee makers. After experimenting, I found a fine grind works best -- about 2-1/2 tbs to two cups water. Total prep time to microwave the water, grind the beans, prep the filter, pour the water, and brew: about 4 minutes. I'm trying to move away from using plastics for food preparation and storage, so this was a good option for me. And, unless you drop and break it, it will last forever. Can't beat that.

Vitamix Wet Blade Free Black 48 Oz Blender Container with Lid

Good things come in small packages
The quality of this container is just as nice as the taller version that came with the blender I just bought. I happen to prefer this handle to the larger container (also clear plastic) because it's rounded while the taller one has squared edges so it's not as comfortable of a grip as this one. But those are minor differences, it's really a non-issue.

The rubberized lid to this container is not the same as the lid you get with the 64-oz container so if you ever see this container sold without the lid don't think that you can use the 64 oz lid with it. But you can use the same tamper (as long as it's the newer model). I'm mentioning this because I almost made the mistake of ordering the mini-tamper thinking I would need it with this shorter container. That's why the two aren't sold together, the new design of tamper works for both containers.

Great size - Great Vitamix quality.
I am really enjoying this 32oz container and have found it to be an invaluable addition to my Vitamix 5200. Like others have stated, the measurement increments printed in black on the side of the container have been very handy. I can easily measure right into the container instead of getting a measuring cup dirty. Yes, the larger container that came with my Vitamix has measurements but, to tell the truth, before I looked at this one I never even noticed because they are too 'tone on tone' to easily see/use.

I also really like the way that the bottom part fits inside of the four prong things on the base of my Vitamix 5200 so it seems even more steady than my original container that goes outside the prongs. I use both, but I am very pleased that I got this one too. It's nicer to have a smaller container for many of the things I make.

One more thing - For others who may be curious, as was I because it was not addressed, the tampers that come with both sizes of...

Fantastic
Needless to say after spending 400 bucks on my Vitamix I was less than anxious to shell out an extra $130 for the 32oz. container but I just couldn't help myself.

The 64 oz. container is just big enough to make rinsing it a bit of a hassle (lazy I know) and it is beyond overkill when I am just looking to make a quick protein shake with 8-10 ounces of liquid.

I mainly use my Vitamix to make green smoothies and while people normally recommend around 32 oz. of green smoothies per day I just don't want to drink 32 oz. in one sitting and I don't like drinking the same "flavor" twice per day - instead I prefer to make two separate smoothies of about 16-20 ounces twice per day and the 32 oz. container is just perfect for that.

The only other thing I really use my Vitamix for is to make a peanut sauce and even with a rubber spatula getting it out of the 64 ouncer is a bit of a chore so I look forward to making it in the smaller container.

I was also...

General Electric WB02X10776 Charcoal Filter

IT IS ONLY ON ONE SIDE FOR A REASON (Two Independent Systems)
This filter fits perfectly in its intended position and there is only one filter for a specific reason. Explanation Below.

Actually the two fans are divided and control air that intakes from separate areas. If you do a little bit of inspecting the microwave, take a flashlight and shine it into the left fan and you'll see that the light doesn't shine through to the right which means they're independent of each other.

You'll also notice that the fan on the left is venting much more air(where this filter is to be placed). This is happening because it is the only fan that is recirculating the dirty air from the stovetop itself and that is why it needs a carbon filter.

The fan on the right (without a filter) actually intakes air from the top front right corner of the unit, which is clean air (place a piece of paper towel in front of it and turn it on and you'll see the suction). This air is then used to cool down the microwaves electronics and is vented out...

Badly designed microwave and filter.
I bought this filter for my GE JVM1540 microwave. ABT shipped it quickly.
My microwave didn't come with a filter when I bought it, so this is the first time I've used one. While installing it, I found a fatal flaw- the microwave blows air out of two ducts on the front of the microwave, but GE only provided the capability to install a filter over the left one. So you're only filtering half of the exhaust. Actually, I think you're probably filtering less than that- after I installed the filter in the left duct, even more air was exhausted from the right duct than before (I'm guessing the wind resistance of the filter causes air from the left duct to back up and flow out the right, bypassing the filter completely).

I don't see the point in buying a filter to filter only a portion of the air coming out of the microwave. And I can't believe that GE let that design flaw slip through.

How to install a perfect JVM1540 grease filter
The prefilter media sold for honeywell air filters can be used for microwave carbon grease filters, such as needed for GE JVM1540 DP1BB. Here are instructions.
The oem part is a charcoal filter in a metal casing. The size of the opening is 135x160mm, but the filter has to be smaller than this because of the thickness of the rigid metal casing and the plastic guides that hold the filter. Filters you buy online may fit somewhat correctly, but are not likely to fit precisely. However, if you buy carbon filter media, such as the Honeywell 38002 carbon pre-filter or equivalent, you can use scissors to cut a 135mmx160mm piece that will fit precisely in the filter slot.
To access the filter, depending on the exact model, you remove screws on top of the microwave, then open the microwave door, and remove the plastic vent cover that extends across the length of the microwave at the top. In my case, there are three screws, and once they are removed, the plastic piece needs to be slid...

Waring PBB212 Professional Bar Blender, Retro Green

The best Christmas present I've gotten in years
I've long been interested in having a really great blender. Something that will crush ice, puree soup, make smoothies for breakfast or snacks and of course blend up a nice margarita. :)

I looked at dozens of blenders, and finally chose the Waring bar model in stainless based on design, other reviews and power. The metal jar was also very important. I have always been afraid of breaking the glass on other blenders I have owned, and in fact have broken one.

This blender is just lovely. It is loud, but because it is so powerful and simply *works*, you don't have to run it very long anyway. There are no plastic buttons to get sticky and goopy. One *metal* switch and two settings are plenty.

Rather than the "turn to lock the jar in" method that most blenders use, this one drops in. You can't do it "wrong" -- it just won't go in if you have the canister turned the wrong way. The jar, which does need to be held steady with one hand, never kicks or bucks when...

blender of the year
A name you can trust and have trusted for years. This blender does it all. weather you need 1 drink or 10 drinks. Problems crushing ice with your old blender? Not this one. I go through pounds upon pounds of ice a night and this blender doesn't even slow up.

Waring Blender
This blender has been completely satisfying. It crushes ice consistantly and thoroughly. My smoothies alwalys come out like silk. I use the blender several times a day, and the motor hasn't burned out. The steel adds a unique touch while leaving me fearless of broken glass. And, the warrenty that comes with it is a comfort in the event I have problems with the unit. I highly recommend this product for it's quality, distinctiveness, and dependability.

Original Whirlpool 1183054 Filter

Misleading
I was lead to believe I was buying a ORIGINAL WHIRLPOOL 1183054 FILTER but what I received was a similar filter with no Whirlbool box or Whirlpool markings or Whirlpool part number on the filter. Filter shipped has a Part number of RFF05503 has no other information on it and the filter itself was packaged only in a clear plastic bag with no product documentation. Makes you wonder where it was made and if is a true HEPA filter. Was I ripped off?

This was NOT a Whirlpool filter: Toxic Chemical Smell
I ordered the Whirlpool 1183054 Filter and when it arrived it was a cardboard-framed replica of the real Whirlpool filter (which has a plastic frame). I have serious respiratory allergies (hence the air filter?) THIS FILTER STANK of toxic chemical glue! Opening the box caused my entire apartment to smell. I left the filter in an open window for several days, after which it still reeked. I tried to run it in the air purifier to air out the filter, but it caused my bedroom to reek chemical fumes. I had a sinus reaction to the smell. This is not a quality product but an inferior rip-off.

Bait and switch
These are not real Whirlpool filters. They are clearly NOT Whirlpool OEM product but rather they are cheap aftermarket Filters with no indication who actually manufactured them.

Whirlpool originals are of much higher build quality with plastic rims and the HEPA filter paper itself is of much higher quality than these very cheap knock offs (built with cardboard & cheaper paper). If you could compare them side by side its night and day in quality.

The filters they sent also have a very odd chemical smell which is unpleasant.
I decided not to even use them they were that cheap.

UPDATE:
Seller sent out replacements after my complaint. Ammending rating to 3 stars.

Miele STB 101 Mini Handheld Turbobrush

Best optional Miele attachment for cat hair
People seem to either love this or hate it. I am definitely a lover of the Miele STB101 Mini Turbo Brush.

Here's 4 reasons why: four cats. The lazy indoor-only kind that sleep all day on soft things. I can tell my black cat's favorite soft surface du jour by the breadth and depth of the black fur he leaves behind.

This mini turbo brush removes EVERY cat hair in just a few swipes in both directions. I have several cream-colored blankets he has adopted and I thought they could never be cleaned. Machine washing and drying never extracts the fur enough, and I can use an entire lint brush (the kind with sticky paper) before and after washing and still see fur. With the turbo brush, I can remove all visible hair easily, then can wash the blanket.

Some people don't like the brush because it is air-generated and can seize up at times without its own machine drive mechanism. I do encounter this, but after many uses, I find this happens on some surfaces...

German engineering
I have never seen a vacuum cleaner adapter like this. The STB101 uses the vacuum suction to drive a rotational brush head. I was surprised by how much brushing force it generates. You mainly use the adapter to vacuum stairway, it's small and it's easier to manuver. However, it still cannot get to the small 1/2 inch strip along the edges. You can use the adapter for furniture upholstry also, but I would recommend it only for occasional deep cleaner. I'm not sure how furniture fabric can stand up to the rotating brush in the long run.

Good for smaller surfaces
Although pricey, this relatively light-weight brush to me is a necessary accessory for my Miele Capricorn S5980 w/SEB236 Powerbrush. We have three cats and a 2-story home, i. e. lots of cat hair on the cat tree, the carpeted stairs, chairs, etc. Although my vacuum came with two different brushes (the large power brush and a parquet brush), none are suitable for these surfaces because they are too big, too heavy or not cut out for the job (in the case of the parquet brush).

The Mini Turbo Brush works great on these difficult surfaces. The built-in brush rotates not because of a dedicated motor as the large brush does, but only through the airflow when the vacuum is turned on. So at first I was a bit skeptical that enough dirt and debris would be picked up. However, it generates surprisingly strong suction and cleaning action and is now my go-to brush for all these smaller or angled surfaces where the...

PROCOM Blue Flame Vent Free Wall Heater - 30,000 BTU Output, 1000 Sq. Ft. Heating Capacity

Great heater!!
I love this heater. I live in 1000 sq ft home, and this is my only source of heating. It does a fantastic job of keeping us warm. We are using natural gas and the hookup was easy. We can set the thermostat control and don't have to worry. I got a gas heater because of electrical problems and power outages in the winter. This was a good choice.
I like that is mounts on the wall, taking up no floor space.

GREAT HEATER!!!
THIS IS a great heater. It heats the entire first floor which is 1300 sqft and then takes the chill off the upstairs also 1300sqft. On HI the main floor get to 74 or 75F. as the temp goes in the single digits it does not hold up as well. However keep in mind that the area is larger than what they estimate it heats. Go for it you won't regret it.

PS The only thing negative we found was that the wall above the heater gets very hot. Maybe thats because we did not get the fan.

Awesome Heater
We live in greater Kansas City on the Kansas side. This heater is awesome. I have it in one corner of the basement, it is running right now. Low nightly temperatures this winter & late fall have dipped down into the mid teens and at bedtime we run only this heater. It heats 3 floors of our two story home. The house has never been so toasty.

A fantastic heater at a great price.

Maytag Whirlpool Dryer Ignitor 4391996

Fits/Works great!
Why spend $200 for a repairman to fix your dryer when you can do it yourself for a few bucks? Doing basic research on the net, there were really about two options for why my dryer wasn't heating when on; dead solenoid(s) or broken (cracked) ignitor. I mistakenly bought the solenoids first which proved not to be the issue but instead the ignitor was dead.

Checking the ignitor is beyond simple. And you most likely don't even need a volt meter to check electrical flow. First, disconnect the ignotor at its base (plug/wire harness). Simply remove your ignitor (just loosen the mounting screw, do not fully remove it) and slide it out. Then visually inspect the old ignitor by holding it up to a light and if you see a crack in the unit (it's a looped, single piece of metal), then it's burned out. Another identifier is to look for a white, burn mark which means the ignitor has arced and cracked. This is a normal wear and tear part on every dryer.

Installing this new one is...

I ordered it to be replaced in my dryer. It was amazing and satisfying that the dryer started to heat up again.

Chef's Choice 110 Professional Diamond Hone Sharpener

Spectacular results
Cooks Illustrated gave this sharpener a very strong review (their best-of-class as I recall) and I reluctantly laid down my trusty sharpening steel to give it a try. Once I got this special 3-beveled edge on our knives I never regretted the decision to switch. What's particularly nice is that the edge returns so easily with a quick touch-up on the finest setting.

I've also notice virtually no obvious loss of metal on the knives after many touch-ups, a problem with other sharpeners that can quickly consume your blades. If you want an edge that makes you feel more like a surgeon than a chef, this will deliver.

[The only downside is that it's no good for serrated knives, but their newer model 120 will handle them too.]

Great product...
I am a carpenter, not a chef. However, as such, I know the value of sharp tools. They cut faster, easier and are much safer. A dull tool or knife is unpredictable and this makes it more dangerous than a sharp one.

My wife (a much better cook than me) and I have some high quality knives and some knives of dubious quality. I took about 1 hour and sharpened about 10 of them. The results were great. It is a little tricky to get used to holding the knife while in the slots... you are kind of balancing it in your hand instead of holding it. You have to let the magnets guide it. After a few knives, it was much easier.

The only reason I didn't give this 5 stars is that I can get a quality knife a little sharper with one of my wetstones. This only applies to the good knives I have. What I do is sharpen the good ones on the machine, then finish with a few swipes on my stone. It is a lot faster than doing the whole thing by hand.

The lower quality knives don't seem to respond...

Useful Tool, But Could Be Better
I currently own the professional Chef's Choice model (which I highly recommend, by the way), but previously used this model made for home kitchens (don't let the word "professional" in [the] description of this model's title fool you ... there is a real professional quality Chef's Choice electric sharpener).

I purchased a Chef's Choice after reading good things about this electric sharpener in "Cooks Illustrated" magazine. It definitely made a world of difference. I was starting with good knifes--Wustof Trident and Henckels--which may have something to do with my success, but the Chef's Choice really does make home sharpening possible, and easy, in my experience. When a knife seems dulls I run it through the whole sharpening process (once every 4-6 months with a high quality knife that gets a fair amount of use), but to keep my knives constantly razor sharp--which is what I really love about the Chef's Choice--I just run them through the second stage a few times as soon as they're...

Dustless Technologies MU405 Cougar Ash Vacuum, Black

Useless for coal stoves...
With a fat Amazon gift certificate burning a hole in my jammies, visions of a clean coal stove danced in my head. I had been lusting after one of these ash-vacs for years, and now finally, it would be mine...

Boy do I wish I had read a review like this one prior to purchasing this vacuum (which I will return tomorrow). Didn't even have to dirty it, reading the instructions was all it took. Unfortunately, it required getting in to my livingroom to figure this out, since in none of the online descriptions at various sites, including Amazon, did it mention that this unit is for FINE ASH ONLY. In other words, the steel nozzle opening, approximately the diameter of a nickel, is designed to admit fine powder ONLY, and even that in small bits with the nozzle pressed against the firebrick in a "small circular pattern", allowing the ash to "sift" into the hose incrementally. (The instructions went on to detail all the various ways the thing could get itself plugged up...)...

Loving my Love-less Cougar Quiet? Ash vacuum
You know I read and yes, re-read those other reviews prior to going out and purchasing mine. I on one hand was using my own personal vacuum (wind tunnel hoover) to pick up the ash that my fireplace insert pellet stove was producing and I clean mine everyday. Using a ordinary vacuum is insane to say the least and messy so I finally went out and looked at the vacuums and came to this one online at Amazon but I went to my local fireplace center and purchased it there - to avoid shipping cost and they wanted nearly $270.00 for it but I got it at the same price as Amazon just no shipping - Well I LOVE IT - no mess not too loud - (the dog barks at my regular vacuum) no dog barking at this one. The flexible tube I have no issue with as of yet - it moves with ease and no cracking - no problems, no mess - I must tell you that it does not come with tools and I use and need the tools so I purchased them separetly well dont use your own vacuum tools they fit and why spend the $15.00 as you...

Look Elsewhere!
I purchased this ash vacuum less than one month ago for use with a pellet stove. In that time, and with only light use, the "flexible" hose has cracked, the motor is making a funny noise as it winds down, and the suction is significantly decreased long before the canister needs emptying. I would never buy this again, and would recommend to anyone needing an ash vac to look elswhere.

Eureka AirSpeed ONE Pet, Bagless Upright Vacuum AS2030A

Pros and Cons
This little vac might be just what you need. Then again, it has its drawbacks.

PROS:
Extremely lightweight and compact. If you are in a motor home and every inch and ounce of savings is important, this could be just wonderful for you.

World's longest vacuum cord. I did the whole house only moving the plug once.

Picks up EVERYTHING. Yes calling it the ONE PET, as in dog/cat hair, seems to be just what this was designed to retrieve. Did a great job on carpet with dog hair. Not so great on bare floors but see "cons."

Easy to assemble/breakdown. Attachments are light and work well. The attachments and hose are much better quality plastic than the handle of the machine.

Suction is IMMENSE.

Beater bar works like it was made by a jet engine manufacturer.

Filtration system consists of a very dense circle of foam which can be rinsed out, dried, and reused.

CONS:
Extremely lightweight and cheapo...

You'll Love It!
At this price point it is hard to understand what a great product. Cyclone technology has been around for awhile and improvements have been made. We have another brand cyclonic vacuum which cost many times the price of this. The AirSpeed shines compared to our older unit. For example to use the attachments you need not remove the hose and insert it in a separate opening, simply turn a knob which directs the suction to the hose. The cord is longer, it is about thirty feet long and not nearly as stiff and unwieldy. It is light enough to easily carry around, which is important to us as we are late senior citizens. The noise level competes very well. The cleaning path is ample around thirteen inches or so. It comes with a hand held power brush, which Eureka calls the "Pet Paw" which is great on upholstered furniture....didn't get that on our older vacuum---and we have used it. Very satisfied. The filters are washable and easy to remove and clean. I like the fact that it is...

Just Like Life, Vacuums Require Balance Too.
I've owned many a vacuum over my years on this earth, and my family has dubbed me "The Vacuum Killer", because it means a life of hard, unrelenting labor under my ownership. So, when I give a vacuum a positive review (4 stars or more), I REALLY like it. With each new relationship, I set aside my past negative experiences and give each machine a chance to prove themselves based on its own merits. My hope is always that the good outweighs the bad and that the dog hair will not become tightly wound around the brush bar.

So, let's begin, shall we?

The Good:

*Comes with quick set-up guide which makes for an easy assembly of the four main pieces.

*Long power cord.

*No dog hair tightly wound around brush bar after use.

*Very powerful suction.

The Bad:

*Very powerful suction.

*Lightweight structure doesn't balance the powerful suction.

*Short vacuum hose.

*Extension wand...

UZO1 Illuminated / Lighted Party Beverage Fountain (Punch Bowl), Operates on both Electric and Batteries for Outdoor Use, 2 Gal Capacity

Love/Hate
I bought this fountain to use for a baby shower. I put pink lemonaide in it, turned it on and it was splashing every where. I was VERY disapointed. Everyone had heard that I bought a fountain and was so excited to see it. I had stick stuff everywhere, my wall the floor and the table cloth was soaked. I tried using the battery power but it didn't pump hard enough to get the punch to the top.

I called Stacks n stacks and a very nice lady call the company that made it. They told her that the first model they made pumped to slow and the model I have was a newer model and people said it pumped to fast. They told her to ask me to try some new batteries and name brand. It did pump better but still splashed.

I thought the distance between the large bowl and the second bowl was to far. It was to high for the punch to drop from. So I used a fine blade hack saw and cut two inches off. I made sure the edges were I cut was clean and filed down. I put it back together...

a real crowd pleaser!!! and easy to set up
I purchased this for my daughter's sweet 16 party and it was a big hit with the kids! I am so pleased I purchased this fountain, a rental would have been more than the $50 I paid to buy it. We have already used it a second time and it is still working great. It's pretty sturdy.

Also, it is quite easy to set this up and clean up was easy too.

Only negative is that the illuminated feature was not impressive. But, that could have been because the room wasn't that dark. I didn't buy it for that feature so it wasn't a big deal.

A real party pleaser
I ordered this fountain and had it shipped for my granddaughter's 16th birthday. Everyone enjoyed helping themselves to the punch with plastic champagne glasses. The fountain worked wonderfully well and added a real festive air to the party. Everyone looks forward to occasions where they can bring out the fountain in the future. Splashing was not an issue. As far as carbonated soda added to the punch recipe, I believe the soda was opened well in advance and allowed to go flat.

Whitmor 6459-834-GRDN Supreme Ironing Board Cover and Pad, Garden

Cover for Ironing Board
This cover was padded and had x-tra straps to secure it underneath the board, also the drawstring to tighten it. I love it. Would recommend this product very highly.

Ready to iron?
Sounds silly but this ironing board cover says' lets iron' plus it looks so attractive in the laundry , cheerful, the quality is great too , I love it !

Attyractive cover
Very Cheerful cover. Most covers are DRAB.Fit my 54" board well. Been ironing for lo on these 62 years [even in the Army] This was a good bit more than another, but, you get what you pay for.

LG 7,000 BTU Window-Mounted Air Conditioner with Supplemental Heat and Remote Control (115 volts) - LW7012HR

Not totally what I expected
The side flaps for the windows are flimsy for such a large unit and the heat is not as warm as I would have liked even on a really high setting. I expected it to be like those units that are in hotels....LG should charge less for this product just for poor heating quality alone

Does the job but doesn't shut off in heat mode.
I bought it for the heating feature but am disappointed that it doesn't shut off at the desired room temperature as with the cooling feature. It draws electricity when not needed.

Heater could work better
The a/c works very well and seems to remove humidity fine. I have it in an area about 210 sq ft so that's what my recommendation is based on. The heater does not get very hot, so if want to use it as the only heat source ,you better settle for a smaller area than recommended. I use a space heater with it as needed. Also won't do very well in a very cold area is my guess.

Sunpentown SD-65E Energy Star 65-Pint Dehumidifier

Initial impression was outstanding... but time has proved me wrong...
UPDATE 05/19/12 - I attempted to disassemble the unit yesterday evening, but the bucket would not come out, and there was a silver dollar sized patch of ice on the outside of the unit near where the gravity drain nozzle is on the interior. I turned off the unit and left it to thaw overnight. This morning, I went down and removed the housing and everything appeared to be normal. So, I reassembled the unit, but left the left hand hold insert out, so I could see inside the unit. I plugged it in and let it run for several hours, and it became apparent that what is happening is that the defrost function is no longer working (which is the same problem that my previous dehumidifier developed), so ice is forming and blocking the drainage through the elbow that either drains into the bucket, or the gravity drain hose, depending on if the drain hose is connected. The design of the unit is such that, if the normal drain path is obstructed, there is an "overflow" drain hole on the opposite...

Effective, quiet, well-designed
This is my newest Sunpentown dehumidifier. I got my first (an SD-60E) almost 2 years ago. I've used many home dehumidifiers (Hampton Bay, Maytag, Fedders, Amana, Whirlpool) over many years. My two Sunpentowns are the most effective by any measure. Their water buckets are bigger, yet need to be emptied as often or more, even when used in the basement where temperatures are lower and many dehumidifiers lose effectiveness. I can now keep my whole house under 45% with only two dehumidifiers where I used to need three. Also, they're quieter, which is very important. At first I worried that they occasionally seemed to run unnecessarily, but I now realize they're smart devices and sometimes move air (with compressor off) just to monitor it better. They don't need to be reset after a power failure. The filters are easy to remove and vacuum. Also, readings are more accurate than on older models. One very minor complaint: I could wish for a pause button (off for an hour, then...

Sunpentown vs. Frigidaire
In the past I have purchased several dehumidifiers of varying brands, including Frigidaire. Unfortunately, the Frigidaire units are no longer of good quality and the company is refusing to honor the warranty on them (see my review at [...] for details). So I bought this one.

The Sunpentown, although rated five-pints per day less than my last Frigidaire, removes the moisture from the air MUCH more quickly. The Frigidaire ran almost continuously in my cellar trying to maintain a 40% humidity level. The Sunpentown brought the humidity down from 66% to 40% in just a few hours, and now only runs occasionally to maintain this level despite the extremely wet weather we have experienced the last few weeks.

The Sunpentown, like the other, has two speeds. Sunpentown calls the higher speed "Turbo." There may be a logical reason for this -- at this speed it almost sounds like a turbojet. It is pretty darn loud. The "normal" speed is not bad. Unfortunately, when the unit goes...

Optimus U-32000 2.5 Gallon Warm Mist Humidifier with Wicking Vapor System

Quiet and Long Lasting
I bought this humidifier to replace an old humidifier in our bedroom. This one is nice and compact for a 2.5 gallon model and is very quite compared to other humidifiers. My favorite feature is how long the water lasts. On high the humidifier easily runs the entire night and on low the humidifier runs from when we go to bed until lunch without needing a refill.

Former Sears Model
I previously had a Sears model and chose this because it was the original supplier. It has all of the features I liked from the earlier Sears: overnight capacity, nice water handling, and quiet operation.

Alas, it has the one real pain I did not like about the Sears - the finicky safety switch. This exists on the side of the unit to detect the presence of the water tank before engaging the humidification power. However, one typically has to keep fidgeting with the tank to get the switch to work. On the Sears unit I got so frustrated I simply wired it out of operation.

My old Sears suffered a cracked base and started leaking but only after many hours of service, so I'm willing to give this unit a chance (plus I had leftover filters...). Take the manual's advice and only use distilled water. Mineral buildup can be a real problem to keep at bay if you use tap water.

Works well
So far so good. Humidity on a cheap barometer goes from under 20% to about 50% on high for awhile. Helping me sleep immensely. Had to put it on a flat surface for it to work, fills extremely easily. Also seems to warm room quite a bit but might be a comfort level thing.

Good value
These are better than most of the products found at the local stores. They fit the opening better because they are thicker in the filter area. The price per case is great. I would recommend these for sure.

They do the trick

T-fal FV3756 Prima Steam Iron with PTFE Nonstick Soleplate, Blue

Ultra Good Iron
I saw this at a wholesale club(cheaper) and bought it after being unhappy with a recent Black& Decker. This iron feels like it is named ..."ultra glide". I had an older Black&Decker that was top of the line with a non stick plate. It finally died after ten years so I bought another non stick Black& Decker. I found the new black and decker to be poorly made and it had issues with sticking and getting starch build up that needed cleaning often. When I saw this T-Fal, I was taken back by the unusual plate surface. It had more holes for steam on the bottom than the black and decker, and almost a glass like appearance on the plate. It is very different from any other iron I have used as it feels like it is just sliding across a shirt. As a result, the fabric tends to straighten easier as you go along and as a result, you don't get accidental creasing as easily while ironing. This makes ironing quicker and less of a chore. This is a huge improvement over other irons as it really is an...

T-Fal Ultra Guide iron
Finally! An iron that actually gets hot! If you want to get wrinkles out of your clothing this is the iron for you. At 1700 watts this baby gets hot. The only downside is the noise the iron makes when using the high steam control which I always use. Since my clothes now are neatly pressed, I guess I can live with the noise of bubbbling water.

Fine iron at a reasonable price
I don't do a whole lot of ironing and I don't enjoy ironing but at least this iron makes the task not so unpleasant. It works well - the iron heats up quickly, has plenty of heat and a properly-working steam feature that gets out the wrinkles, and it glides smoothly over the clothing material. It's very easy to use and seems to be durable enough to last for quite a long time.

It has a nice shut off feature. The styling looks nice, and is also practical - easy to grip and comfortable to use. I also like the blue color. One reviewer commented that the water tank makes the iron heavy but water is water - you can't get "water light" that weighs less than other water. T-Fal deliberately included a larger-capacity tank to prevent having to refill the iron so frequently. If you feel the iron is too heavy with full capacity then just use less water in the tank to prevent water-weight buildup.

Overall, this is a nicely functioning iron that has an efficient and attractive...

Hot Dog Express Countertop Hot Dog Electric Cooker, Cooks Up to 8 Hot Dogs Sausages, Kielbasa, Hamburgers and More

It grills a mean dog!
Deion Sanders' Hot Dog Express is an obvious attempt to exploit the wild success of George Foreman's grills, however Deion was not savvy enough to work with a high-quality manufacturer like Salton to manufacture his product. The Hot Dog Express is an OK quality product, but handling it gives hints that it will not last as long as a George Foreman grill does.

That being said, it did cook some very tasty hot dogs. It has the rollers like a professional hot dog stand, and takes about 14 minutes to cook eight hot dogs. I used Oscar Meyer beef dogs and they tasted better than any boiled hot dog ever could. The buns warmed on the cover as the dogs cooked.

The only obvious quality problem was the timer dial. It is marked for the length of time you want the cooker to run. I set mine for 14 min, but found that it stopped at the three minute mark and had no alarm bell to indicate the completion of cooking. To compensate, I have to set mine to 17 min, and keep my eye...

Some "concerns" - Cooks okay
I received the product and am satisfied with the way it cooks. Just two things concerned me and I am still waiting for the "As-seen-on-TV" group to resolve/quell my concerns:

(1) The drip tray at the back of the unit - where the condensation is supposed too drip to when/while cooking and after you open the lid - was broken. I emailed "As-seen-on-TV" and they responded by saying they had contacted the manufacturer and were going to wait to see what they (i.e., the manufacturer) can do/will advise. Why they cannot just send me a new/replacement drip tray is beyond me;

(2) The square turning stem that comes off the roller wheels and joins into the unit - as the cooking time goes on, it seems this stem "unscrews" itself from the units motor turning assembly resulting in the roller wheel assembly no longer "turning" the dogs. Synopsis: I found that I had to occasionally "push the roller assembly back into the units motor stem connector with the plastic tongs. And by...

BonJour Automatic Battery-Powered Oval Frother with Stand

Strong Frother
I've had several frothers and this is the strongest, fastest churning frother I've owned. I don't like frothers that have the on/off button as a slider that can't do quick bursts or that isn't on top or where your fingers or thumb naturally fall. This one has the button conveniently on the top and works perfectly for quick bursts.

Definately recommended.

Gets the job done
Not much to say about this - it's a frother. I've owned a few of these battery-operated frothers, and they all basically work "okay". I'm pleased with this one, however, as it has more oomph than my previous versions. This one did cost a bit more than I paid for those (from a large kitchen, bath, etc...store), but it is worth it. It feels better in the hand, and I don't have a problem with the battery cover wanting to pop open during use like I did with my others. I also like the stand - the frother doesn't topple over if you sneeze or look at it funny. That was a constant issue with my other ones.

Updated... I purchased another one of these to give as a gift. That second frother was dead on arrival. We tried more than one set of batteries, and it did not work at all. I now have to try to get another one for the gift recipient. As stated before, I love mine, and it works great. But I am no longer confident in this brand because of the one that never worked at all. 1...

Great frother
I can't understand any review with less than 4 stars for this frother at THIS price range! It is a frother, it isn't supposed to play music or dance really! I have been using frothers for years, all at the low price range and this one is the best BY FAR!
- design wise: it is pretty! The stand is a big add, something I never saw with any of the dozen frothers I used over years.
- Functionality: It is really strong, but just strong enough to stir and make the froth not to spill your drinks. Steady even if used for long, no unnecessary vibrations. I just bought a cheaper Ikea thinking, as usual, that all frothers are alike and that paying more than $10 for it ( not to mention $30 & more that some pay for higher end frothers, it is not a car folks, more expensive won't do more stuff!) but the ikea was so bad( I may have had a defective unit there is no way they designed it that way)it spilled the coffee every where, every time!
- Extras: The stand of course. Also, it is...

Panasonic NI-W750TS 360-Degree Quick Multi-Directional Steam Iron, Silver and Black

Great Design, Not as Smooth as Other Irons
Update
So I've officially owned this iron for over a year now and have used it on average once every two weeks to iron anywhere between 5 and 14 shirts at a time (my husband is an entertainer and goes through shirts like water). The Panasonic is still working as steadily as ever - I haven't had any problems with calcified water build up in the unit, the temperature is still great enough to iron and the steam amount is about the same. In terms of durability, I'd give it a solid thumbs up.

_________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________

There are several things about the Panasonic Iron that I like, but there are a lot more things that I dislike about it. First, the things I did not like about it:

1. The Titanium soleplate: I like the smoothness of polished stainless steel soleplate much more than the titanium. While the titanium plate doesn't stick to the fabric, it...

Okay iron but better ones are available
For context, my present iron is the Black & Decker D2030 Auto-Off Digital Advantage Iron which is a best-selling iron recommended by a "leading consumer magazine" and one that I am very pleased with. (Note: The D2030 seems to have been updated and the new model is Black & Decker D5000 Digital Evolution Iron, White.) Most people choosing an iron in this middle price range will be looking at the Black & Decker so in reviewing this Panasonic iron, I will do something different from a normal review and do a direct comparison to the Black & Decker which is the one to beat (and in the end the one I do prefer). The pricing is comparable and they are both made in China and seem well-constructed and have an auto-off feature.

First of all, I'm not impressed by the much-ballyhooed 360-Degree Quick Multi-Directional feature. Instead of...

I hate to iron, but the Panasonic makes it easier
I have a very old Protor Silex Iron that I have been using for about 15 years. I really dislike ironing, but since I am now retired and want to save a few bucks, I try to wash and iron our shirts and blouses rather than spend money to take laundry to the cleaners.

I really like the Panasonic 360 Multi-Direction Iron. The swivel cord is a great advantage as I do not have to keep moving it out of my way since it sits at the top of the handle. The sole plate glides beautifully and does not "catch" on the material being ironed, keeping it from being creased while moving forwards and backwards or side to side.

The Panasonic has has a nice sized reservoir with the "max" fill line printed clearly to make sure you do not overfill. The steam buttons are very easy to use and setting the temperature for the material that is being ironed is just at the touch of a dial. It has the option of vertical steaming for curtains, which is a nice feature, but one I have not used...

Gas Burner Bib, Round 5 Pk 7-1/2"

gas burner disposable bib, round 5 pak 7-1/2" liners
I purchased these for my daughter in her first apartment with small gas
stove...It keeps the stovetop protected and clean and is perfect for those
who don't want to spend time scrubbing with SOS pads. Allows mom time
to visit instead of cleaning!!!

My wife loves it
My wife loves this because,
the product keeps the stove as new
also facilitates the cleaning procedure.
The only cons is the price and the shipping charges

Gas Burner Bib - Round
Gas Burner Bib Round - I can never find these in any store. What I would say though, it to bag them 4 to a bag, not 5. Most stoves only have 4 burners so you can lower the price per pack.

Optimus H-7328 Portable 22-Inch Oscillating Tower Heater with Digital Temperature Readout and Remote Control

Great product
I bought this heater after loosing money on CozyLegs. This heater is the best little heater, I find the remote control works real well to help from having to get up from our desks to make setting changes. We have a fairly big room we use it in. The only complaint that I have with it, is that when my wife is down here, she can change the tempature of the room from 67 to 75 in only less than 30 mins, and I am complaining that I need the thing turned off.

space heater
Nice product for a small room. Has thermostat, auto cut off, oscillates and two heat setting. It also has a remote control. At a resonable price.
I would purchase this product again.

Heater
The Optimus heater did a wonderful job heating my 12X12 room. My room started getting warmer within 15 minutes and it hit the 65 degree mark in 25 minutes. Considering my heat has not worked in that room for the whole winter, not bad.

Great little heater. The temperature gage seems to work really well, and the remote control is definately useful. Quiet enough for me to sleep comfortably when it was set on low.

Would definately recommend to anyone looking for a portable space heater.

GENUINE Dyson DC-25 Lifetime Washable & Reusable HEPA Filter dc25

May not a verifiably genuine Dyson filter, will update my review as this is worked out
MOST LIKELY NOT A DYSON PRODUCT (final review at end)

Review as of 3-March-12 (8-Mar update at end):

The product is described as a genuind Dyson filter, but what was received was of unknown source. Genuine Dyson filters come tagged and bagged as Dyson, and are (in every case I have found), blue/purplish as I show in the picture comparison I uploaded to Amazon. If you go to the Dyson website, it shows an example of the product and the grey Dyson sticker which is placed on the bag.

The product B&M Housewares shipped me was in a clear sealed bag, but did not have a Dyson sticker on it. Moreover it in no way looked like a Dyson product. When compared to a genuine Dyson filter, the product I was shipped is thinner in filter material (by about half), telling me there's fewer filter layers. The product does fit the vacuum, and it does filter, but there's no easy way to determine if its filtration is of the same quality level as the Dyson filter, or better or...

Not what title says
My filter is not a genuine dyson filter. It is not the same as the one that came with my vacuum. It is one made by some other company for my vacuum.. I am very disapointed in this product and the misleading title. The picture also does not match what I recieved

BUY FROM DYSON DIRECTLY!!!
I'm not sure how some of you recieved a "genuine" Dyson filter, but what was mailed to me was clearly not! I have an "Animal DC25" and the filter that came with it was PURPLE with MANY white "faucet" prints on it, just like the photo indicates. However, I noticed when I recieved it.. IT DID NOT LOOK ANYTHING LIKE I WAS REPLACING AND CLEARLY A KNOCKOFF. (the rubber part was black, not purple, fit a bit smaller, and the fabric part had ONE "blue" faucet printed on it) It was cheaply made, but decided to use it anyway, since I had already thrown out my original. It seemed to work ok, and after about half dozen uses the cloth started to "pull away" from the rubber and just fall apart. If they had advertised a "knock off" with a "knock off" price, I still may have purchased it, however since it had advertised "genuine" and was still priced the same as the Dyson site, I thought it was what it advertised! They must randomly mail out fakes if some are getting genuine, or....they are...

Replacement for Whirlpool Refrigerator Cold Control Thermostat 2198202

Works well
As another reviewer said, everything in my fridge was freezing with the dial turned all the way up. After a couple weeks, I investigated, and found the little set screw in the hole next to the shaft of the dial, and was able to adjust it until the temperature range was the same as my original thermostat. I haven't had any problems since then, and it has held up well.

The appliance store wanted twice as much for the replacement part (and I wasn't sure that was the ONLY thing wrong with my old fridge), so Amazon really saved the day. Even if my fridge fails in a few months, this part will have paid for itself.

It works, now.
the thermostat temperature gradations do not match that of the refrigerator, so it took some time to get accurate temperature settings for the fridge. The installation was pretty straightforward.

Replament thermostat
Read some repair reviews on line and found and the part at Amazon. Refrigerator is now working... Saved me $200...

Lambro Ind. 289W Dryer Vent Closure

Best exhaust vent wall cap in the industry
I have installed these on the last two houses I have owned. Having just moved into a new home, I will be installing as many of these as I can get to replace the exhaust vents (wall caps)on my outside walls. I have louver wall caps now and you can hear the wind whistling through the vent pipes inside the house when the exhaust fans aren't on. There ought to be a building energy code outlawing vent wall caps that leak air so easily. But the Super-Efficient Dryer Vent solves this problem of air infiltration, as well as that of rodent entry. You need this vent style in windy areas, and particularly if you have those dryer vents that have been installed at ground level. If the contractor has installed your vent in the foundation vent of your home, you are almost guaranteed an entry point for mice. With leaky vents at ground level, rodents can easily make their way into your home unless you have this improved style of vent. The top cover of this vent comes off easily so you can keep...

clothes dryer vent
The unit arrived in a timely fashion and was well packed for safe transport. Upon inspection I found that the unit was defective in design and manufacture since the "floating cap" would jam and not "float" and I quickly realized that the unit would not work as intended unless I made some functional modifications. Without making these changes the unit would in fact function far worse than the existing aluminum flap which I was replacing. This unit is designed to "float" or lift an internal vent cap unit by exhaust air pressure when the dryer is turned on. The floating vent cap is designed to be guided by vertical plastic fins which function to center the floating vent cap and to guide the cap to a close over the dryer vent opening when the dryer is turned off. The problem was that plastic guide fins were far too tight against the cap and the cap would not "float". Part of the problem was caused by the vent cap unit itself which should have been round but in fact was mis-shapped and was...

Poor quality-buy Heartland instead
I bought two of these. The 'cup-like' flapper device in one is not round so it sticks. In the other while more round, it too is flexible and not fully round. Neither one always come down to completely seal. General poor fit and finish.

I just bought a replacement from Heartland which has a virtually identical design. It seems to be a far higher quality plastic with much better fit and function. It opens and seals easily and completely.

Cuisinart CPT-120 Compact Cool-Touch 2-Slice Toaster, White

Now this is a toaster!
I bought this Cuisinart toaster about a month ago. Previously, I owned a cheap Toastmaster two slice toaster that I had since college.

This toaster is compact but has everything you could need. It has slots wide enough for homemade bread and bagels, a reheat and defrost button and a cancel button. It is a very powerful toaster for sandwich bread. The first time I used it I was too excited to read the instructions first so I set the LED dial at 5 which was the level I used on my Toastmaster. That was a mistake because I burnt the toast crisp. This toaster I only have to set to a 2 to get my toast a nice brown shade. It really puts off the heat. I don't eat bagels so I can't say how it does on them. On Toaster Strudels it works well at a level 4 or 5 setting.

I love this toaster and would buy it again!

Toasts unevenly
This appliance has several good features, but they are outweighted by the fact that it does not produce a decent piece of toast. At the lowest setting one side of the toast comes out too brown, the other side barely toasted. The inner side of the bread toasts faster than the outer side. We did manage to get a decent piece of toast by inserting the bread, setting a timer for 1 minute, pressing cancel, reversing the bread, and slowly counting to thirty before pressing cancel again. Far too much work!

Runs Hot
Have been using the new toaster for about a month. Pros: Nice clean look. Cons: 3 major complaints. 1) It runs way too hot. We initially set it on #4/5, thinking that was middle of the road doneness. Unfortunately my toast looked like it had been cooked in molten lava. We are now using #2 and it seems OK, but I can't get the toaster waffles to come out right. (In case you are wondering, Yes, I read the manuals that come with appliances). 2) Slots not long enough. I am not buying "Special" bread, just stuff off the racks at the local supermarket and it doesn't fit in the slots. The toaster will handle a "girthy" bagel, but not a wide piece of bread. Weak. 3) The dial is really lame. You think a high-tech LCD readout when buying the toaster, but its really just a lighted dial.

Bottom Line: The toaster works, but I would not buy it again, nor recommend it to others.

Shake N Take Sports Bottle Blender

Love the concept, but motor is too weak
I've now owned four of these. Each has had the motor die. One after a single day. The longest was six months. The system is a good one. The bottle works well and is a good size. But, the motor simply can't handle regular use.

You can limp it along by putting fewer frozen pieces in -- say under half the bottle -- or by only mixing for a few seconds, before walking away and letting it rest. But, in all, you shouldn't have to baby it quite so much.

I'll probably try another type next to see if it works better.

Was great while it lasted!!
I bought this unit after trying one out at my buddies house. He had just recently got one as a gift.Great concept! I ordered mine the same night. I used it 4 days a week for 3 weeks for post- workout protein shakes. Here I am 3 weeks later ,blender wont start, called my buddy, guess what? His crapped out also! I wouldn't recommend this product for the sole reason that it is not reliable, It's a great concept but worthless if I doesn't run...That's my take on it!!!!!!!!!

Didn't work for long.
I received the Shake-N-Take as a gift for Christmas 2006. Mine just broke down this morning. The motor gave out. I didn't really get 2 weeks of service out of it.

Let me start off by saying the construction of this machine is impressive. There was not a flimsy piece of plastic on the entire machine. The entire set-up is heavy gauge plastic, the machine easily reflects the $350 price tag, no questions asked. The machine is a lot heavier than most kitchen appliances, which is not a bad a thing. The machine was easy to clean and easy to assemble.

Performance.
To use this juicer you will need to cut up the produce, such as beets, apples, anything large and round. You need to cut them up anyway with your 3" shoot on the centrifugal juicer, most apples don't fit and the larger beats don't either. I use the apple corer/cuter from Pampered Chef, you can use it for the beets as well. Carrots fit fine, I could see some of the very large carrots needing to be cut.

The juicing operation is fast and effort less. They give you a pusher but you will not need it. The machine's design automatically...

good design, poor quality, SLOW customer service
We bought the VRT330 in May of 2010 and used it daily. For the first 6 weeks we couldn't have been happier, as was Omega and Amazon too I'm sure, because it made it past the 30 refund period. It is easy to clean, simple to assemble and the juice was great...at first. However, over time we noticed more and more pulp in our juice (we mostly juice carrots, apples, spinach, beets & occasionally kale). We attributed it to wear (all the parts are primarily plastic), and figured with the good warranty we would simply replace what we figured was the obviously worn auger when it became bad enough that we couldn't live with it.

After a few months it continued to expel more and more pulp into our juice and we couldn't live with it. Additionally it had developed another nasty habit of leaking out the bottom of the clear plastic tub and running juice all over the counter. I contacted Omega and after a few emails and phone calls they agreed to replace the auger... then it took nearly...

Great for multiple purposes
I bought this juicer "used-very good" with fulfillment by Amazon. It should have said "used-BETTER THAN NEW". Definitely get the "HD" version of these juicers since the inner component, made of plastic, is under a lot of pressure but does not crack now that it is made of a much harder plastic composite material.

My wife and I am are on day 20 of a 30-day juice fast, and we have used this machine for everything. We've juiced whole cantalopes with the rind, 25 lbs. of carrots, and piles and piles of leafy greens like kale, spinach, lettuce, etc. We've done every hard root plant as well as things that aren't recommended, like strawberries (which come out more like a smoothie). The key is to chop things up first--especially celery and greens that are stringy. It comes with a fine mesh screen for less pulp, or a wide mesh screen for more pulp. I think the "pulpy" version would be disgusting; as it is, we strain some of our blends though another mesh strainer that we have so...

Dirt Devil AD50005 Steam Mop Shaggy Dusting Pads

More than satisfied
I ordered these for my entry way. With winter here and making it hard to not track in the elements, this shaggy dusting pad not only picked up the extra moisture from dirty slush, but also removed the salt residue from walking along treated walkways out side.

Decent quality
I've found that the shaggy pads hold up much better then the flat ones. You need to let the steam saturate the pad before beginning to mop as the mop head won't glide easily or if you use force it will simply come off. I use my steamer every day and I've just found this type holds up and doesn't wear out nearly as easily as the flat type mop pads. Would recommend trying these.

Works Good For My Wood Floors
I know someone here had a hissy fit that these shaggy steam mop heads are not meant to be used with steam, but dry. I wouldn't use them dry because the mop is too heavy for me to haul around for nothing. Oh well, sometimes I am a non-conformist, so I had to try them with the steam going. I had excellent results. Perhaps this works so well because the steam is a little farther away from the wood, and the floor doesn't get so wet? I only had one of these shaggy ones, so I ordered another package of two. Maybe this doesn't work so well on all wood floors, but it is great on mine.

Chef Buddy Grill and Panini Press, Non Stick

quick but toxic!
I got this two months ago because I wanted something to grill meats and veggies indoors quickly. While it was in great condition it was able to cook chicken breast, fish in under 5 min and steak or pork chops in about 10min! Everything cooked evenly and was moist and delish, just plug in, give 2 min to heat (indicator light will turn green), sprayed with oil and put whatever on and close-up. unplugged to turn off, wiped down with soapy wet paper towel then a dry one after allowing machine to cool for about 15 min. Very easy, had latch to hold close so can store it upright on counter. Was great, used almost everyday until noticed the black nonstick coating was coming off! Very disappointed to see that, no warranty with it either. Looking to buy a new panini maker that will not have this problem

Excellent choice for making paninis!
I love the non-stick Chef Buddy Grill and Panini Press. The unit heats up quickly and creates warm paninis in under five minutes with the characteristic grill marks on the bread. It has a grilling area able to fit two sandwiches and an adjustable grill lid for those large sandwiches. We use this item at least three times a week and are well satisfied with its ease of use. The non-stick plates are not removable but it's easy to clean the non-stick surface with a paper towel.

missing booklet
there is no booklet how long to cook the meat on the grill. It would be nice if there was a booklet with it since they are xmas presents

Bissell ProHeat 2X Bottom Tank

great
An exact replacement for my steam cleaner bottom tank
Shipment was fast and friendly
Used it right out of the box

Great replacement part, color is as shown so make sure
I needed this to replace my Bissel Pro-Heat tank which fell off a table and broke. It fit perfectly and have had no issues whatsoever. The tank does have a blue tint to it (as pictured) and the original tank was clear. So it looks strange, considering the rest of the cleaner is purple. But I knew that from the picture.

I make sure to disconnect it and let the inside air dry after use so it doesn't develop a moldy smell.

So don't expect a clear tank it is pictured as is, but it works and fits great.

Great replacement piece at a great price
Worked perfect! I some how broke the inside of bag on the carpet scrubber and instead of searching for a replacement one I found this, worked great!

Good purchase
Nice replacement brush and I definitely would buy it again. Good quality all the way around and I am glad I bought it.

brush
The dusting brush from Kenmore is very sturdy. It is an excellent tool for picking up dust and heavier objects. The bristles remain in good shape too.

NEW replacement part.
Could not find a new replacement dusting brush tool where I live. Amazon had it and it is new. I am happy.

Hamilton Beach 04922 TrueAir Replacement Carbon Filters for 04160 & 04161 Air Cleaners, 3-Pack

Hamilton Beach 04161 Is the Best
I have asthma and the Hamilton Beach 04162 has both my votes. I did a lot of research and intially bought the Blue Air (which I returned the next day). The reviews indicated it was the quitest air purifier. It isn't and it cost 2 and 1/2 times the price of the Hamilton Beach. Although it supposedly has the lowest decibel level (which I do not believe), the BlueAir has an extremely irritating high whine that oscillates irregularly, not to mention an annoying bright blue light. This might be good for torturing someone, but the BlueAir is NOT quiet. The only reason I didn't buy the Hamilton Beach to begin with was because a reviewer said he could not sleep to it. ... The Hamilton Beach on low setting has a white noise effect and I actually prefer to have it on when I sleep. It's sound is soporific. The light from the Infrared can be turned off, but it is not annoying like the light from the BlueAir, so I leave it on. The infrared has elimated the mold problem we were having in our...

Great replacement filters
Great replacement filters, good value (3 pack). Hamilton Beach should, however, package them flat (not folded), so they can be installed properly on top of the main filter.

Fine Value
I found the replacement filters are equal to the original..No
change in thickness!!

Hamilton Beach 68322 Ice Cream Maker, 1.5-Quart, Blue

My first ice cream maker
This is my first ice cream maker. The first batch was slushy like it had ice chunks in it so I guess I didn't run the machine long enough before I put the cream mixture in the freezer. For the second batch, I let the machine run for about an hour then put the cream mixture in the freezer. The second batch was super delicious, like real ice cream. Keep in mind, the cream mixture will NOT turn into ice cream in the machine. It stays creamy and liquid, like a milk shake that melted a little. After the mixture is put in the freezer for about an hour the ice cream is really really good.
The machine is louder than expected. Not as loud as a blender or food processor, but it is louder than I expected. It is very easy to use, very easy to clean, and the machine makes a good amount of ice cream. I like the machine, just wish it were less noisy.

Makes great ice cream.
This is a good product. Seems sturdy. Canister cools off pretty fast. Ice cream comes out creamy. Canister takes up a pretty large amount of room in a over the fridge refrigerator. We use as ice keeper in between times, and that way we have it ready whenever we want it (for those of us with smaller freezer.)

Works great!
I am a low carb dieter and every once in a while still like a sweet treat, but can't have sugar. This machine allows me to make sugar and dairy free 'ice cream' by mixing Silk Purecoconut milk with a little sugar free chocolate syrup, pasteurized egg whites and espresso (or instant coffee powder). After about 10 minutes of churning, I have a slushy mocha type treat that contains only about 100 calories, 7 grams of carbohydrates and 6 grams of protein for more than a cup. Yum!
