Kenmore Elite (whirlpool) HE3 dryer replacement handle
After almost 10 yrs. my Kenmore Elite HE3 dryer handle developed a crack on the lower side of handle from constant pulling. This replacement part was the lowest price replacement I could find.
It doesn't have the 1/16 inch thick rubber pad on the underside/backside of handle surface (this is only a cosmetic item that you can feel with your fingertips when you grasp the door handle. It is not a seal, gasket or necessary part).
Part comes with no install instructions but Install is not a big deal, just a lot of screws. It gave me the opportunity to clean the inside window!

I'm a typical guy, I did it without instructions and without removing the door from the dryer.
Fits and works but it is not OE
Looks like it will last. Its been on for a couple of weeks and so far so good. Shiny black, not like the original. I wish they wouldn't try to make it seem like its original equipment, but I guess you get what you pay for. Better than broken one pinching my fingers.
Broke after two weeks.
Handle broke after only two weeks. Flawed design and replacement handle is constructed worse than the original. I wound up threading a piece of nylon rope through the holes on the dryer door and it will likely last forever. Not the prettiest solution but very effective and permanent.
