Cuisinart CSB-77BS Blender Shaft

These never last more than 6 months
I love this Cuisinart blender, but the blender shaft keeps breaking. It seems like over time it just rots. The rubber/plastic seal starts to come apart, and the blade connector rusts. Eventually either the blade breaks off from rust, or the rubber seal rots away so that air foams down into the liquid being blended.

I've had 3 break so far, and they're only used to blend powders - never anything hard. They're also rinsed on the bottom and dried every time to avoid rust as much as possible.

I keep buying more of these blender shafts because I haven't found another stick blender I like better, but there's got to be some better option somewhere.

Broke after 2 weeks
Absolute crap. Broke after a few weeks. Buy the 250 or higher watt kitchen aid hand blender instead (the ones with at least 2 speeds). Those are so much better. Can't believe I wasted money on this crap.

Flawless Replacement
My original blender shaft gave me years of daily use, until one day it began to leak oil from it's seals. I couldn't see plucking down another $50-70 on a whole new unit. Saw this replacement shaft and reluctantly went for it. Almost exact replacement and after months of daily use has performed as well as the original. The blender is a great lasting quality product and I imagine the replacement shaft will hold up as well. I will prob not run this one through the dishwasher as often as the last to try to have the seals last longer.
