Zojirushi NP-NVC10 Induction Heating Pressure Cooker (Uncooked) and Warmer, 5.5 Cups/1.0-Liter

Make Old Rice Taste Good - Worth the price
To me most rice cookers can make decent rice if you eat them right after they cook. This rice cooker makes great tasting rice, but what makes me posting this review is that it will keep your two days-old rice taste good.Being a Japanese, I am very picky about my rice. My old Sanyo Rice Cooker made good tasting rice, but I had it shut off right after rice is done because it made rice yellow and dried. With this Zojirush Rice Cooker, you can cook delicious rice and have it for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. It also make good tasting brown rice.

Love this rice cooker!
Like all rice cookers, you must adjust the water to the dryness/humidity of your weather. It took me about three tries to get the water perfect. I know that the price is on the higher side, but I tell you every penny was worth it. During hurricane Sandy, I stayed with my friend and found out about this rice cooker. At first I thought she was crazy for spending $800 on a rice cooker. The most I've ever spent was $400. Then when I tasted her rice that night, I was sold. Couldn't go back to my pressure cooker. It changes the quality of your rice and as I mentioned earlier you can adjust the water to change the moisture to your liking in your rice. After eating this rice, I noticed that any restuarant does not compare. To me, this is simply the best!!!

Excellent
Excellent rice cooker. Noticeably different texture and flavor. Left over rice tastes better as well.

Previously owned a fuzzy logic zojrushi rice cooker for 7 years.

Is this one better than the one model below that a relative has? Not really, but I think if you enjoy tastes or have sensitive tastes, the umami feature is a nice to have.
