The information listed is incorrect
Item description shows every three months. I'd imagine that would be if you kept it on high all the time. Here's the info from the users manual.
Filter Care
* The FILTER indicator will signal when to replace the
HEPA Filter. The replacement period will vary depending
on the hours of usage, air quality and location of the unit.
However, most filters in normal use need to be replaced
every 12 months.
* There are two separate filters: HEPA and
Carbon Filter.
* For best performance, change the Carbon Filter every
three months.
* Do not wash and reuse Carbon Filter as it will not work
effectively.
Filter is 17 1/4 X 14 1/2. Bigger then most if not all in this category. Seems like a real good deal at $45 W/ shipping, at least compared to actual competition. The generics models are just OK.
Great filter
I purchased this to adapt my DeLonghi air cleaner for which I can no longer get parts here in the U.S. I cut the filter in half as I only needed something half the size - now I'll have a replacement filter for the future. Sometimes you have to think like McGiver!

Lasts more than 1 year.
Great cleaning power.
Highly recommend it.
