More than disappointed but it all worked out.
The kit was missing the tiny mounting screw even though the picture clearly depicted a screw - the only reason I chose this kit instead of the even cheaper ones. Was actually unable to find a replacement screw out of a small bagful that the seller sent as an apology. Had to pirate a screw from the back burner. Other than that the new plug-in worked well and I saved my stove (aka $600). I also bought some appliance epoxy paint and touched up the nicks and rust. It's all beautiful now AND works great. I am thrilled when DIY saves me (this was EASY) and the landfill.
easy to install
I purchased to fix top burner on stove.
Worked fine. Need to be a little handy but worth the savings of a new stove.
High Quality Receptacle
I have purchased many of these receptacles this year. They are designed very well and is much better than the Universal receptacles which I also purchased to compare. The brass contacts (as pictured with black wires) where the surface burner element is plugged-into offers a much better and tighter fit than the universal receptacles. In addition, the wire shielding is made of heat resistance fiberglass and not rubber/plastic. I took one star away because of the missing screw which should have been included in the package (as pictured).
